I handed out ceramic soldiers to 4,000 children at the Kids Biennale during the Gyeonggi International Ceramic Biennale 2013.

Children were allowed to decorate their own ceramic soldiers at the event where I contributed my talents.

My studio had suffered from a flood due to the record-breaking heavy rain in 2013 but was restored thanks to the assistance of soldiers and volunteers. I conducted the project of distributing ceramic soldiers to 4,000 kids through the ceramic biennale in return for such assistance. As one ceramic soldier consisted of eight pieces, I had to cast 35,000 pieces. I did hard and laborious work for three months but it felt good to see children holding my ceramic soldiers in their hands.
